Eden Julia enjoys exploring topics of identity, relationships, and pre-colonial Filipinx mythology, outlined by their experience as a queer person of color and second-gen Filipinx.

Eden Julia received their BA in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Poetry from Mills College in 2010 and their MFA in Writing from University of San Francisco in 2024. Eden Julia is the Poetry Editor for Apricity Press. They were the Editor-in-Chief of University of San Francisco MFA in Writing Program’s Invisible City Literary Magazine and previously the magazine’s Co-Poetry Editor.

They are the President of Bay Area Women in Publishing (BAWiP), an organization that uplifts current and aspiring colleagues who identify as women or nonbinary, and helps them build professional networks and advance their career goals while fostering community and a more equitable environment in publishing.

When Eden Julia isn't frantically jotting half-formed thoughts on the edges of napkins or their phone's notes app, they like to fill their time dancing, baking, and exploring new ways love can manifest.

They currently live in Oakland, CA.
